Family Wellness Instructor Certification: Effective Tools for Promoting Positive Change in Individuals and Families

Description: Family Wellness is a research-based trauma informed curriculum that works with the entire family. For 40 years, Family Wellness has taught principles that have proven effective for families in all kinds of cultures. Training of Trainers for The Creating Lasting Family Connections Marriage Enhancement Program

Description: Participants will be trained and certified as Trainers to implement The Creating Lasting Family Connections Marriage Enhancement Program (CLFCMEP) with couples. This is a community-based program for couples in which one or both partners have been physically and/or emotionally distanced because of relational difficulties or separation due to incarceration, military service, substance use, or other circumstances. This evidence-based program has published results in a peer reviewed journal (Shamblen, Strader et al, Family Process, 2013), is listed in the Encyclopedia of Couple and Family Therapy and was listed in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices. Relying largely on cognitive change and skills training, the goal of CLFCMEP is to build and/or strengthen partners' relationship skills by providing structured opportunities for participants to develop greater capacity for communication, conflict resolution, emotional awareness and expression, commitment, and trust.

*Participants in this 3-Day workshop will be Trained to become nationally Certified CLFCMEP Trainers and will therefore be required to have a copy of the CLFC Marriage Enhancement Program Trainer Manual and a Participant Notebook. For those ready to serve couples we recommend the purchase of a full set of materials, however, manuals and notebooks can be purchased separately. (see below)

Adventures in Marriage Certification Training

One Heart, Two Homes: Certified Facilitator Training for Working with Single Parents and Step Parents Raising Kids between Two Homes

Workshop Number: 1T-1

Description: Explore co-parenting after divorce, with never married parents and with step parents in a comprehensive look at the "One Heart, Two Homes" curriculum. This training of 7.5 hours can be applied to the full certification training of 10 hours. A certificate of attendance is given for the 7.5 hours; a certified facilitator designation is given after 10 hours of training (optional: remaining 2.5 can be done on-line with a small additional fee).
